✖ ... or it can just be a random meet-up at a tea parlor or a tea party in the garden of the queen of hearts. we'll do this old style with no prompts so go crazy (since this is mostly a test drive thing).
✖ monocles and petticoats are optional but highly encouraged.
✖ food fights are optional too.
✖ optional setting: there's this one.

( b. ) intermission during the Weston College cricket tournament. don't mind the peep show courtesy of Lau, the choral groans of the Red House cricket players courtesy of Sebastian's laxatives or the stray sparkles courtesy of Viscount Druitt ]

-- This shouldn't be so! [ brb busy trying to stand on her toes to let the world knows her opinion. ] The Blue House is definitely going to win!

Excuse me. [ he frowns at the men who turn to look at him. it's at odds with the model student reputation he'd worked to cultivate in weston but he needs to get lizzy away from the crowd and more important lau's betting books before his shady associate can pull anything. ] English gentlemen should never forget themselves so much as to crowd a lady.
[ he barely manages to stop himself from rolling his eyes when the abashed crowd shuffles back, muttering apologies. these damned cricket obsessed idiots... ] Let's head back. [ to lizzy now ] Edward was whining for you.

Ciel --
[ -- have a hug. because she's certain (in her heart of hearts) he's also feeling terrible about this situation. ]
This is so unfair to you and your House! It's -- it's as if they're expecting you to lose without even giving you a chance to prove yourself.

And besides, it'll be more satisfying to overturn their expectations and win in spite of them.
[ sorry for your fiancé's terrible personality elizabeth! ]

still, that's pretty much lizzy's cue to start getting teary-eyed once more. because (again, in her heart of hearts) ciel still believes in things she's never expected him to believe in after all he's been through: camaraderie and trust and teamwork and all that jazz. oh elizabeth, if only you knew. ]
Mm! You're right, and I'm sure everything will certainly turn out well. You're my Ciel after all.

Oh, but your opponent is Brother's team, isn't it? Oh, my ...
[ brb fretting. doushiyou. who does she cheer for? ]

- which makes him hesitate for a second. how low is he willing to go to neutralize edward as an opponent for this last match? ]
Go ahead and cheer for him. I'm not going to get resentful over it. [ not that low, at least not when it comes to lizzy
but just because he's not going to capitalize on lizzy's devotion to him by asking her to cheer for him to distract edward, doesn't mean he can't go the opposite way ] As a doting older brother, he'll gain even more strength from the support of his younger sister. [ doting. sure. we'll say doting instead of siscon ] You should cheer him on while he's pitching or batting.
[ didn't edward say that everything else becomes a blur when he sees lizzy? ]

she thinks it's a lonely path (and she wonders if this was truly the path of the queen's watchdog) but she knows that it's a path he's set for himself and she simply has to find her own path that runs parallel alongside him. ]
Ah, but Ciel -- [ she takes his hand to clasp hers over it, smiling brightly. he's not going to get away so easily. ] Brother's team already has a lot of supporters so while I'll still cheer for him, I'll cheer for you even more! Because you'll also need even more strength to win, right?
[ especially against edward's house. and if both ciel and edward face off sometime during the match, well -- she'll cross the bridge when she gets there. ]
Besides, I'm sure Brother won't mind if I cheer on you too.
[ wrong, elizabeth, wrong. ]
